An exciting project that combined creative thinking with technical craft.
At the heart of the project was a modular grid system, which our motion designers built to translate the campaign’s creative idea into dynamic compositions across multiple formats. Inspired by the geometric patterns of Frida Kahlo’s Tehuana dresses, the system brought together crops and distinctive fragments of her portraits and artworks in bold compositions, creating a visual language that explored the artist’s enduring influence while remaining instantly recognisable.
We developed the work across DEP's, DOOH and social, including a Piccadilly Lights takeover.

At the core of the system was an algorithm that turned 4 source images into an almost limitless visual toolkit. By combining the modular grid with different crops, scales, positions and image fragments, the system generated up to 64,000 unique compositions from just these four images.
This allowed the work to feel constantly evolving across formats and placements, while staying rooted in the same distinctive visual language.
